Gray Whales

Our first stop in the state of Washington is on a bluff about 30 feet above the Pacific Ocean. Ocean views from our campsite! This is why we chose the coast for the first leg of our journey. The campground is small and very inexpensive. We cancelled our reservations for the next stop on our itinerary so we can stay here longer.

There is a small family of resident Gray Whales that swim back and forth in front of the campground each day as well as Seals and Sea Otters. The forest along this stretch of beach runs all the way down to the sand. We enjoy hiking along the beach and were able to spot two Bald Eagles on our first hike.

It is the nicest beach camping so far and given the opportunity we would gladly return.
