Elk Prairie Campground lies in between Prairie Creek and Elk Prairie. The photo is of two members of a nine member elk herd that leaves the forest every afternoon to graze in the prairie.  

The campground is situated among a thick grove of redwoods with Prairie Creek running along side. The sun is out, the campground is quiet and the sites are private. I think this is our favorite place so far!

Well after 40 days in California this will be our last stop in the Golden State.
