Well we’re camped in a small RV park across the street from the Del Mar Race Track, (horse racing doesn’t start until summer). However we are in time for the annual Solana Beach “Fiesta Del Sol” event with a free shuttle pick up just outside the campground entrance. 

This is where our “Pacific Coast 101” journey officially begins! 

We start heading north on highway 101 Sunday the 19th  (Magallis’ birthday) and don’t plan on turning eastward until we reach the northern tip of the Olympic Peninsula in Washington,  about 60 days from now.
