Coyote Point Recreation Area is an 170 acre “day use” park. It also features 4 overnight RV camping sites. We booked 1 night as a last resort because everything else in the area was booked. Our expectations were low, however we were pleasantly surprised.

The campsite is right on the edge of San Francisco Bay. We’re being entertained by windsurfers and kite boarders, and there are views of San Francisco and Oakland in the distance.

The San Francisco Airport is only a few miles away and the airplanes approach the airport from over the bay.

The park rangers kick everybody out at 8:00 pm so except for 2 other campers we had the place to ourselves.
